The Big Debates is an independent platform that seeks to build a bridge of understanding and discussion between Western and Islamic thinkers. It is a unique platform, offering to bring together opposing views and intends to serve as a space for all shades of religious thought and philosophy. We believe that outdated clichés, from both sides, need to be transcended with a nuanced discussion. A fresh objective platform has now come of age, where the world’s thinkers can take a journey through the mind of Western and Islamic thought. We believe this is a much needed window of opportunity within a polarised post-modern world to facilitate the emergence of new voices of requisite reason.
